Maryland may be a small state, but it hosts hundreds of food festivals to visit and enjoy throughout the year. From BBQ to seafood, here are some of the events that you don’t want to miss this summer!
Taste of Cambridge: Crab Cook-Off (July 13)
The 2019 Taste of Cambridge returns to the heart of Cambridge. It is free to visit the festival and enjoy live music, vendors, crafts for kids, and festival competitions. However, tickets must be purchased to enjoy all the delicious crab offered – taste, compare, and vote for your favorite in each crab dish category!
Trifecta Festival (July 27)
In late July, the Maryland State Fairgrounds will be the location for the Trifecta Food Truck and Music Festival. The festival will be packed with the largest gathering of food trucks ever displayed in Baltimore County as well as local artisans, live music, moon bounces, and much more!
Frederick, Maryland Wine Festival (August 3)
The annual Frederick Wine Festival is a celebration of the most innovative wineries from across the state of Maryland. Paired with signature food selections from talented local chefs, the festival is set to cater to the savviest of food and wine enthusiasts.
Maryland State BBQ Bash (August 9 and 10)
The Maryland State BBQ Bash is a barbecue-themed street festival featuring live music, delicious barbecue, crafters, a farmer’s market, a beer and wine garden, and children's entertainment. The highly anticipated event draws thousands of people to the celebration, including over 50 BBQ teams competing for the Champion title.
Chesapeake Crab, Wine, and Beer Festival (August 24)
A Chesapeake tradition, the annual Chesapeake Crab, Wine, and Beer Festival at the National Harbor is an all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza complete with over 50,000 crabs, beer, arts and crafts, live music, family fun, and much more.
